The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Palmdale last Tuesday. The accident occurred just north of Avenue N and the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway at 5 p.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer. The events leading up to this crash are not yet known at this time.
The officials reported that the pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Shomari Rollox.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role. There are no other details available at this time.
