Several School Students Injured In A Bus Crash In East Valley (Phoenix, AZ)

Authorities reported a bus crash that injured several school students in the East Valley on Friday morning.

According to the Gilbert Police Department, the collision happened between a Chandler Unified School District bus and a passenger van.

Just after 9 a.m., the South Gilbert police department shared the crash on social media. 

59 students were onboard during the collision.

 The bus driver and several other students were treated for minor injuries. The van driver was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Both directions of Higley road, between Chandler Heights and Riggs roads, were shut down following the investigation. It was reopened later at 10 a.m.
