According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Wednesday morning in Sun Valley.
Officials confirmed that many people were injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred southbound 5 Freeway interchange to the 170 split.
A car had overturned and flipped several times before coming to rest.
Three people were ejected from the vehicle and two people were trapped inside.
The extent of injuries sustained remains unknown.
