On Friday, two people suffered serious injuries while several others were hurt following a multi-vehicle accident near the Texas State University campus.
As per the initial information, the four-vehicle pile-up took place at about 4:45 p.m. at Aquarena Springs and Charles Austin drives. The early reports showed that a Texas State bus and three other vehicles were involved in the wreck. The eyewitnesses saw a huge explosion with black smoke after the collision, officials said.
Reports further added that there were students still on the bus at the time, but they were later released. Two people in one of the involved vehicles sustained serious injuries and were both rushed to Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle. No one on the bus received any injuries as a result of the crash, but occupants from the two other vehicles received minimal injuries. No further details were provided.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
