According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Plano on Thursday.
The crash happened on Preston Road at Town Square Drive at around 2:15 p.m.
According to the reports, a black Infiniti and a black Corvette were involved in the collision.
The driver of the black Infiniti traveling northbound tried to make a left turn and struck the black Corvette.
Sam Williams was identified as the driver of the Corvette who suffered significant injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The accident is still being investigated by the officials.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officers.
