In a tragic accident, Ryan Wallace, a doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism and Media, lost his life just weeks before his dissertation presentation. Wallace was en route to pick up his sister’s children when the fatal crash occurred in Bastrop County.

The accident also claimed the life of 5-year-old Ulises Rodriguez Montoya, adding to the devastating impact of the incident. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the fatal crash. The number of vehicles involved has not been disclosed at this time. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
