On Sunday, 28-year-old Ryan T Jacques, 28-year-old Alicia M Avalos and 25-year-old Kianalia A Towle suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck near Lewisville Regional Park.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place on State Route 503 near Lewisville Regional Park at about 6:05 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that a white Subaru WRX, driven by 28-year-old Ryan T Jacques, of La Center, was traveling southbound on State Route 503. For unknown reasons, the car went over the centerline and crashed into a 2005 Ford Escape, which was going northbound.
Jacques then overcorrected, went over the centerline again and collided with a 2011 Ford Explorer, which was also heading northbound. Jacques and his passenger, 28-year-old Alicia M Avalos, from Kelso, were rushed to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with unspecified injuries. 25-year-old Kianalia A Towle, of Yacolt, who was driving the Ford Explorer, was also taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
The 16-year-old boy driving the Ford Escape, and his passenger 21-year-old James D Young, of La Center remained unharmed in the accident. All the people involved in the wreck were buckled up at the time of the collision. Drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash. No other details are made available.
The incident remains under investigation.
