Ryan T. Botkin, 44 Died In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Springfield (Springfield, OH)

A fatal two-vehicle crash is under investigation by the Springfield Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 25, at 6:08 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Fairfield Pike in Springfield Township.

Preliminary findings suggest that a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Katharine D. Holder, 38, of Enon, failed to yield at a red traffic signal, colliding with a 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by Ryan T. Botkin, 44, of Yellow Springs.

Botkin succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash after being airlifted to Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center. His passenger and two children were also hospitalized with serious injuries. Impairment is suspected, and the investigation is ongoing. Holder escaped uninjured from the collision.
