The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday. The collision involved multiple vehicles. The accident happened on Highway 71, north of Chino Hills Parkway.
According to the CHP, the couple from Lake Elsinore, Ruth, and Gedion Mbatha, passed away leaving three children behind in the wrong-way crash. There were two other people killed in the accident but their identities have not been disclosed at this time.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found by the authorities.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional details regarding the deadly crash are not available currently.
