Robert D. Love, 39 Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Clermont County (Clermont County, OH)

In a tragic hit-skip incident early Monday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the pedestrian who lost his life. Robert D. Love, 39, of Amelia, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash on East Ohio Pike in Monroe Township around 1:30 a.m.

Love, clad in jeans and boots and without identification or a phone, suffered fatal injuries after being struck, according to OSP Lt. Dexter Howard. Authorities suspect Love was hit twice, given the extent of his injuries.

The vehicle involved fled the scene, leaving troopers without a description, but they believe it would have noticeable front-end damage. The investigation continues, with no known witnesses to the tragic event.
