Power supply disrupted after a vehicle slams into a power box in Reno (Reno, NV)

A vehicle slammed into a power box in Reno, causing power supply failure to nearby businesses on Tuesday afternoon.

The preliminary reports showed that the vehicle struck a power box on Rock Boulevard, close to Brookside Court, which disrupted the power supply to at least 3 buildings in the area, including one owned by JSX airlines.

Crews working at the scene say that it could take up to 4 hours to restore power to businesses. The incident did not involve any other vehicles. Speed might have played a part in the crash. The driver was cited, but no information was available regarding injuries. No other details are provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
