Power lines brought down after a crash in Walnut Creek (Walnut Creek, CA)

Power lines were brought down after a crash Monday afternoon in Walnut Creek.

As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on Ygnacio Valley Road. It is unknown if the incident caused any injuries or if anyone was hospitalized. The Ygnacio Valley Road was shut down in both directions between San Carlos Drive and Bancroft Road while crews worked at the scene.

At about, police said that all eastbound lanes of Ygnacio Valley Road were back open. The westbound lanes remained blocked as PG&E crews work to replace the power line. There is no estimated time for reopening all westbound lanes. No further details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
