According to the State Department of Transportation and Development, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Wednesday morning in New Orleans.
Officials did not confirm the exact number of people who were injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision is likely to have occurred at Metairie Road and I-610 West at Elysian Fields Avenue on Causeway Boulevard.
No other details with regards to the wreck including the number of people injured, the extent of injuries have been revealed as yet.
The cause of the crash remains unknown.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
The collision remains under investigation by the State Department of Transportation and Development.
