Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by a truck on Pacific Avenue (Yuma, AZ)

On Wednesday morning, an auto-pedestrian crash seriously injured one person on Pacific Avenue.

The incident took place on the railroad overpass in the 2300 block of Pacific Avenue a little before 3:30 a.m. According to the reports, a tow truck was traveling north when a person stepped off the sidewalk and went into the truck’s path. The driver failed to avoid striking the person.

The pedestrian received critical injuries as a result of the impact and was flown to Phoenix hospital for treatment of their injuries. The identity of the injured pedestrian remains undisclosed at this time.

The authorities will continue to investigate the crash.
