Pedestrian injured after a hit-and-run crash in Yuba City; Rachel Medlin arrested (Yuba City, CA)

On Wednesday night, a pedestrian suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Yuba City while officers arrested Rachel Medlin who initially fled the scene after the collision.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge Street and Plumas street. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle hit a pedestrian and left the scene. On arrival, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital with major injuries.

Officers were able to find out and arrest the suspect, 25-year-old Rachel Medlin in the 3000 block of Walton Avenue. Crews confirmed that Medlin was under the influence of drugs and was driving without a license. Rachel Medlin was booked into the Sutter County Jail for drug and collision-related charges. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
