Pedestrian dead after a hit-and-run accident in Fullerton; driver wanted (Fullerton, CA)

A pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a blue vehicle in Fullerton Thursday morning, Dec. 23, and police were searching for the driver.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place on Bastanchury Road. The preliminary reports showed that the pedestrian was crossing Bastanchury Road, west of Brea Boulevard and outside of a crosswalk, when they were hit by a vehicle heading westbound.

Officers were called at around 6:45 a.m. and, on arrival, discovered the pedestrian on the raised center median near a Carl’s Jr. Restaurant. Officers also found part of a blue bumper in the roadway. No details are available regarding the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. No other information is available.

The incident remains under active review.
