One woman dead, another hurt after a fiery car crash in Redondo Beach amid heavy fog (Redondo Beach, CA)

A woman lost her life and a second woman was hurt after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning amid heavy fog in Redondo Beach.

As per the initial information, the fiery car accident took place at Palos Verdes Boulevard. The early reports showed that a car, carrying two women, crashed into a power pole at around 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Palos Verdes Boulevard. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the car on fire.

The driver was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The passenger received minor injuries. The reports further revealed that it was foggy at the time of the accident, but it is unknown if that played a part. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
