One person killed, two others hospitalized following a rear-end collision on 91 Freeway (Corona, CA)

One person was killed and two others received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night on the 91 Freeway in Corona.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place minutes before 10 p.m. on the westbound side west of Green River Road near the Orange County border. The preliminary reports showed that a Toyota Camry got stalled in the left lane and caught fire when it was rear-ended by a Toyota Highlander.

The driver, who was the sole occupant in the Camry, died in the collision. The driver and passenger in the Highlander were hospitalized with unspecified injuries. The identities of the victims have not been revealed. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
