One person killed in a motorcycle crash near Barton and Gettysburg Avenue (Fresno, CA)

On Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed after colliding with the side of a truck near Barton and Gettysburg Avenue.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 11:30 a.m. near Barton and Gettysburg avenues. Reports showed that a motorcyclist struck the side of a truck. Officials confirmed that the bike rider died as a result of the crash.

On arrival, first responders transported the truck driver to a hospital with unknown injuries. The circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unknown at this time. Authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
