On Wednesday night, one person suffered injuries following a wreck on I-24 in East Nashville.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place in the westbound lanes at about 10:30 p.m. between Shelby Avenue and Spring Street. The early reports showed that one of the vehicles was wrecked as a result of the accident while another vehicle involved left the scene.
The reports also revealed that the driver of the totaled car had injuries, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. It is also unclear if the injured person was taken to a hospital. The interstate was reduced to one lane for around two hours, but has since reopened. No other details are available.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
