On Monday, one person incurred minor injuries after a traffic accident on 5 Freeway north of Santa Clarita.
As per the initial information, first responders actively responded to the southbound 5 Freeway near Templin Highway, just north of Castaic after getting information of a motor vehicle crash at about 12:05 p.m. Monday. Initially, it was reported as a rollover crash.
However, when responders arrived at the scene, they confirmed that a vehicle ran off the side of the freeway, but no persons were pinned inside the vehicle following the accident. One person was taken to the hospital with minimal injuries. Traffic was affected for a short while crews brought the vehicle back up on to the freeway. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
