One person hospitalized after a fiery crash in the Copperas Cove area (Copperas Cove, TX)

One person was hospitalized after a fiery crash Tuesday morning in the Copperas Cove area.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place in the 2200 block of W U.S. Highway 190. The early reports showed that a black pickup truck and a dump truck were involved in the collision.

The early reports indicated that the dump truck was heading west in the 2200 block of W U.S. Highway 190, when it collided with a pickup truck turning east on the highway from Big Divide Road. The dump truck also hit a light pole, as a result of which it caught fire.

The driver of the dump truck managed to exit his vehicle before officers or firefighters arrived at the scene. The driver of the black pickup truck was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The outcome of this investigation will ascertain what charges will be filed, if any. No other details are available.

The crash remains under review.
