One person was killed after a traffic accident Sunday morning in Hawthorne.
As per the initial information, the fatal solo-vehicle crash took place at the transition road from the southbound San Diego (405) freeway to the eastbound El Segundo (105) Freeway at around 3:30 a.m. Witnesses informed CHP that a vehicle veered off the transition road.
A representative from the coroner’s office was requested to the location at about 5:15 a.m. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
