One person dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in Tempe (Tempe, AZ)

On Wednesday night, a pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a vehicle in Tempe.

As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian accident took place near 52nd Street and Broadway. The early reports showed that the pedestrian was crossing the street against a no cross sign when they were struck by a vehicle heading east down Broadway Road.

The involved driver remained at the scene after the collision and cooperated with the authorities. Officials do not believe that impairment played a part in the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.

The incident remains under investigation.
