On Tuesday afternoon, a man sustained injuries following a multi-vehicle accident on Fred Waring Drive and Eldorado Drive.
The incident took place at about 2:58 p.m. on Fred Waring Drive and Eldorado Drive in which four vehicles were involved. Sgt. Deonna Pecoraro of the Riverside County Sheriff Department said in a statement that deputies came to know that one vehicle was speeding.
Afterwards, it slammed into three vehicles that were stopped at the red light. Cal Fire said that they removed one person from their vehicle and transported the victim to a hospital via a ground ambulance. As per the reports, the crash did not cause any other injuries.
The authorities have not confirmed if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The incident also led to the closure of several lanes in the area, but the lanes have opened again just before 4:45 p.m.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
