A two-vehicle accident on the Northeast Side has claimed life of a man while leaving another man in hospital, according to San Antonio police.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in the 5100 block of Eisenhauer Road, just east of I-35.
Police said that a man steering a sports car was traveling eastbound at a very fast pace on Eisenhauer Road, crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit an SUV head-on. Then, his vehicle carried on whirling out of control further down the road.
Afterwards, the sports car came to a stop on the sidewalk, throwing the driver off the vehicle. EMS arrived at the scene and declared the man dead at the scene.
However, medics transported the driver of the SUV, a man, to the Brooke Army Medical Center with non-critical injuries.
Moreover, authorities did provide any additional information regarding the accident.
