Officials identified 68-year-old Stephen Garrison who died after a crash in Storey County (Storey County, NV)

Authorities identified 68-year-old Stephen Garrison as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident last Friday in Storey County.

The fatal car crash took place at 5:42 p.m. on SR-341 at Storey County Mile Marker 10. The early reports indicated that a white 2013 Subaru Forester was heading southbound on SR-341 when the vehicle veered right and hit the guardrail.

The vehicle spun away from the guardrail and went over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. The front of the Subaru hit the left side of a white 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup that was going northbound. The driver of the Subaru, Stephen Garrison, a Reno resident, was declared dead at the scene.

An investigation continues.
