Officials identified 66-year-old Roy Neal Guess who died after a pedestrian crash in Baton Rouge (Baton Rouge, LA)

Authorities identified 66-year-old Roy Neal Guess as the man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Friday morning in Baton Rouge.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision happened in the 6900 block of Airline Hwy at about 6:15 a.m. The early reports showed that 66-year-old Roy Neal Guess, of Baton Rouge, was struck by a 2021 GMC 2500 pick-up truck on Airline Hwy.

Guess was trying to cross Airline Hwy when he got hit by the GMC pick-up truck that was going southbound on Airline Hwy. Roy Neal Guess suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details have been provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
