Officials identified 62-year-old Peggy Wright who died after a crash in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

Authorities identified 62-year-old Peggy Wright as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision on Saturday in Augusta.

The fatal motor vehicle accident happened at about 10:34 p.m. on Bobby Jones Expressway and Gordon Highway. It is unknown how many vehicles in total were involved in the crash. The victim, identified as Peggy Wright, of Augusta, died as a result of the accident.

The events that have led up to the deadly crash remain unknown at this time. An autopsy had been scheduled at the GBI Lab. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
