Authorities identified 57-year-old Jerome Washington as the man who lost his life following a head-on crash Thursday night in Shreveport.

The fatal car crash took place on E. Kings Highway a little after 7:00 p.m. in which two vehicles were involved. According to the investigation reports, a Sedan being driven by Jerome Washington, of Shreveport, crashed head-on into an SUV traveling in the opposite direction on E. Kings Highway.

Washington suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Authorities stated that an autopsy has been ordered. No other details have been provided by the authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
