Officials identified 47-year-old Rogelio Hernandez-Ramos who was killed after a crash early Sunday morning in west Phoenix.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place just before 3:30am near 91st Avenue and Thomas Road. The preliminary reports showed that a Nissan 350Z was heading west on Thomas Road when the driver ran a red light and collided with a van that was going south on 91st Avenue.

The driver of the van, identified as 47-year-old Rogelio Hernandez-Ramos, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan was rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries. It is unknown if impairment or speed contributed to the crash. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
