Authorities identified 45-year-old Stephan C Becker, from Portland, as the man who lost his life after a boulder rolled down a hill and hit his vehicle on State Route 14 in Klickitat County.
As per the initial information, the fatal accident took place on S.R. 14, east of Lyle. According to the investigation reports, Stephan C Becker was traveling westbound when the boulder hit his 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander. Due to the impact, the car flipped before ending up in the eastbound lane.
Becker suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. No additional information has been released by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing.
