Officials identified 44-year-old Rosanne Galindo who died after a two-vehicle crash on I-37 (San Antonio, TX)

Authorities identified 44-year-old Rosanne Galindo as the woman who lost her life following a two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning on the city’s Southeast Side.

The fatal car crash took place on Interstate 37 South between Highway 181 and Donop Road. According to the investigation reports, Galindo’s Nissan Rogue slammed into an 18-wheeler, causing the big rig to go into the northbound lanes while the SUV went into the median.

Galindo succumbed to her injuries at the scene whereas the other passenger was transported to the Brooke Army Medical Center. In a latest update, the victim was in critical condition. The highway was closed in both directions as crews worked to clear the scene. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
