Officials identified 33-year-old John Hernandez who died after a crash in SW Houston (Houston, TX)

Authorities identified 33-year-old John Hernandez as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident Monday morning in SW Houston.

The fatal car crash took place at Main Street and Fondren Road at about 9:05 a.m. According to the investigation reports, an SUV traveling on Main Street swerved off the road and crashed for undetermined reasons.

On arrival, emergency responders rushed the sole occupant of the car, identified as John Hernandez, to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
