Officials identified 29-year-old Taylor Hodges who died after a crash in Shreveport (Shreveport, LA)

Authorities identified 29-year-old Taylor Hodges as the woman who lost her life following a traffic accident Wednesday in Shreveport.

The fatal single-vehicle crash took place a little after 8 p.m. on N. Spring Street. According to the investigation reports, 29-year-old Taylor Hodges failed to maintain control of her car for undetermined reasons and crashed under the Market Street overpass.

Due to the impact, the vehicle got engulfed in flames. The woman suffered life-threatening injuries. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the woman to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
