Officials identified 29-year-old Bobby Brown, Jr. who died in an auto-pedestrian crash (Nacogdoches, TX)

Authorities identified 29-year-old Bobby Brown, Jr., from Nacogdoches, as the man who lost his life after getting hit by a vehicle on New Year’s Eve.

Officers actively responded to the 2100 block of E. Main St. at Lamar St. a little after 8 p.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian collision. According to the investigation reports, a vehicle hit Brown for reasons that are yet to be known.

He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by a Justice of the Peace. It is unknown if the vehicle that struck the man stayed at the scene or not after the crash. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
