Authorities identified 29-year-old Arturo Sida as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle collision Thursday on the Northeast Side.
The fatal car crash took place at about 2:30 a.m. on FM 78 near Lakeview Drive, not far from Rittiman Road and North Foster Road. According to the investigation reports, Arturo Sida was driving a small Sedan and going on the wrong side of the road on FM 78. For unknown reasons, his car collided head-on with another car.
Sida suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Arturo Sida died of blunt force injuries suffered in the accident. The female driver of the other vehicle was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center with non-fatal injuries. It is unclear if alcohol was involved in the collision. No other details are made available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
