Officials identified 27-year-old Heather Olive who died after a crash on Mike Padgett Hwy (Augusta, GA)

Authorities identified 27-year-old Heather Olive as the woman who lost her life following a rear-end crash Sunday in Augusta.

The fatal two-vehicle accident took place on 4800 block of Mike Padgett Hwy. According to the investigation reports, 27-year-old Heather Olive was heading southbound when a vehicle crashed into her vehicle from behind for unknown reasons.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to Augusta University Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries on Monday. Officials stated that the woman died from multiple blunt force injuries. No other details have been provided by the officials.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
