Officials identified 26-year-old Trey Lentschke and 31-year-old Amelia Ybarra who died in a crash (Wimberley, TX)

Officials identified 26-year-old Trey Lentschke and 31-year-old Amelia Ybarra, both from Austin, as the victims who were killed following a two-vehicle accident Saturday night on Ranch Road 12.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place about three miles north of Wimberley just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 22. The preliminary reports showed that a 2011 Toyota Tundra was heading south on Ranch Road 12 when it started to veer off the road.

When the Toyota re-entered the roadway, it went across the double yellow center strip and crashed into a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick that was going in the opposite direction. The driver and the passenger of the Suzuki were both declared dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Andrew Cable. No details are available regarding the Toyota driver.

An investigation is ongoing.
