Authorities identified 22-year-old Justin Fields as the man who lost his life following a multi-vehicle accident Sunday night in Baton Rouge.
The fatal three-vehicle pile-up took place at the intersection of Burbank Drive and Ben Hur Road at about 8:06 p.m. According to the investigation reports, a car, driven by 22-year-old Justin Fields, turned from Burbank Drive onto Ben Hur Road. Just then, a truck crashed into the front end of the car, sending it into another vehicle.
On arrival, medical personnel rushed Fields to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Speed is believed to have contributed to the wreck. No other details are made available.
An investigation continues.
