Authorities identified 21-year-old Ruth Quintero-Wences as the woman who lost her life following a crash last week on Interstate 35 in north Austin.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place just after 5:30 a.m. in the 9200 block of North I-35 northbound on Feb. 16. The preliminary reports showed that Ruth Quintero-Wences was driving northbound when her vehicle collided with another vehicle, lost control and flipped down an embankment.
Quintero-Wences was rushed to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
