Authorities identified 21-year-old Phillip Manning as the man who lost his lie after getting hit by a truck Sunday in Austin.
The fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place in the 4900 block of the northbound service road for I-35 near the intersection of Teri Road at around 12:30 p.m. The investigation reports showed that a pickup truck driven by a 54-year-old woman was traveling northbound when it struck the pedestrian.
Manning received major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
