Authorities identified 18-year-old Christopher Lujan who was killed following a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in north Harris County that also caused serious injuries to three other teenagers.
The 17-year-old driver, Charbel Boueri, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the collision. The preliminary reports showed that he was speeding down Champion Forest Drive in his Camaro at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning. The reports further revealed that his car plowed into a sign turning right onto the feeder on the Grand Parkway in Spring.
The front passenger, identified by deputies as 18-year-old Christopher Lujan, was not buckled up and died at the scene. In the backseat were two girls believed to be 13-years-old. One of them was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car.
Both of the teens were first rushed to Memorial Hermann – The Woodlands in critical condition and were then airlifted to Memorial Hermann – The Medical Center by Life Flight. Boueri was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Criminal charges are pending for Boueri.
An investigation is continuing.
