Officer Wendell Harris Injured In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Millersville (Millersville, TN)

According to the officials, an officer on duty was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Louisville Highway. 

The officials stated that around 2:20 a.m. a vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed south of Louisville Highway. The Millersville Police Department officer on duty noticed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. 

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alvin Strokes Jr., 29. 

The officer reported that a strong odour of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. 

The driver was asked to exit the vehicle but he refused. 

Officer Trey Burroughs got hold of Officer Wendell Harris when Strokes allegedly tried to hit the officer. 

Wendell Harris was taken to the hospital to be treated for his knee injury. 

Strokes fled the scene and is on search at the moment. 

No additional information regarding the crash was released by the Millersville Police Department.
