Authorities reported that all the northbound lanes of the Gulf freeway were shut down following a traffic collision on Wednesday in Texas City.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle pile-up took place at around 10 a.m. in the 2900 block of the Gulf Freeway at FM 1765. The early reports showed that two 18-wheelers and several other vehicles were involved in the collision. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash.
The events that have led up to the wreck remain unclear at this time. It is also unknown how many vehicles in total were involved in the crash. All northbound lanes were shut down as crews worked to clean up the scene. No other details were immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
