Multi-vehicle pile-up claims life of one person in Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

A driver died in a vehicle crash involving a school bus and a tow truck in phoenix on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened near 19th Avenue and Cholla Street, near Peoria Avenue, when a northbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a tow truck following which a school bus going southbound was also hit during the multi-vehicle pile-up.

Police state that no children were on the bus at the time of the collision. On arrival, medics rushed the driver of the vehicle that crossed into oncoming traffic to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not revealed the identity of the victim and it is unknown what caused the crash.

An investigation is underway.
