On Thursday morning, one person was flown to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on 14 Freeway.
At 6:33 a.m. emergency responders got information of a traffic accident on the southbound 14 Freeway, just south of Escondido Canyon Road in Agua Dulce, according to Marvin Lim, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “Looks like it came in as a motorcycle down, the patient was transported via helicopter,” Lim stated.
As per the initial reports, the motorcycle struck a black sedan from behind. An hour-long SigAlert was announced for the No. 1 and 2 lanes of the southbound 14 Freeway which briefly closed down all lanes of the northbound side to allow the helicopter to land and collect the injured person. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under review.
