The Chico Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday. The crash happened at East 20th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in the 1000 block at midnight.
The collision involved a motorcyclist. The victim was taken to Enloe Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was declared dead later. The name and identity of the victim are yet to be found
Following the collision, investigators blocked off the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East 20th Street for three hours.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
