According to the city officials, a motor vehicle accident was reported in Lufkin.
The officials stated that a motorcyclist suffered a severe leg injury following a crash at the intersection of Atkinson Drive and South Medford Drive feeder in Lufkin.
The police were called to the scene at around 3:29 p.m. when the crash happened.
The preliminary investigation reported that a motorcyclist was heading eastbound in the outside lane of Atkinson Drive when a truck hit him while going northbound on the feeder.
A witness revealed that the truck ran the red light.
The motorcyclist was conscious and alert when the officials arrived. He was rushed to the hospital stated the Police.
The officials did not reveal the identity of the injured victim.
