A 32-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle crashed into a car taking a left turn in the Rolando area, police stated Thursday.
The two-vehicle crash took place at around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday on El Cajon Boulevard near Seminole Dr. and Filipo St., San Diego Police Officer John Buttle mentioned. A 40-year-old man was traveling on a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard when he smashed into a 2012 Honda Accord that was making a left turn left onto southbound Seminole Drive from the westbound lanes of El Cajon Boulevard, Buttle added.
On arrival, medics rushed the passenger on the motorcycle, a 32-year-old woman, to a hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis, which was not believed to be fatal, the officer said. The motorcycle’s driver complained of pain to his right hand and right leg. The 25-year-old man driving the Honda did not receive any injuries, Buttle said. Intoxication did not play a part in the crash, he confirmed.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
